The Academy's overarching strategic goals of harnessing the power of engineering to build a sustainable society and an inclusive economy that works for everyone must be considered in a global context to be meaningful.
Our partnerships seek to address shared global challenges such as climate change, the road to net zero, and harnessing technology for good.
We work alongside policy makers, industry stakeholders, government officials, and engineers to foster international collaboration, particularly in policy, research and innovation.
By working closely with other national academies, our International Partnership Programmes aim to:
- mobilise the global engineering community to address global challenges
- promote the UK’s global position in engineering and innovation
- stimulate more effective research and innovation partnerships
