The Royal Academy of Engineering is committed to engaging school students with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by providing resources and training for teachers.
This is Engineering: Schools
The Academy delivers a range of programmes and activities to support the teaching of STEM and engineering across all phases of education.
This is Engineering: Schools brings together our different regional activities in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the West Midlands under one flagship initiative. We have integrated the learnings and best practice from our previous programmes to develop a new programme that will change learners’ perceptions of engineering, inspire their participation in STEM subjects, and boost teacher knowledge and confidence – whilst reflecting the regional context of all the areas we work in.
This new programme aligns closely with This is Engineering - a multi-year campaign which encourages more young people, from all backgrounds, to consider engineering careers.
