PUBLIC EVENT
We are excited to bring you our second Policy Fellowships Showcase, which aims to demonstrate the impact of the Academy's Policy Fellowships Programme, highlight the work of our Policy Fellows, and lead insightful conversations while connecting the worlds of policy and engineering. We are honoured to be joined by a special guest speaker, Sir Chris Wormald KCB, Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health and Social Care, who will deliver a keynote speech and participate in a panel discussion on engineering better public services.
How does engineering contribute to better bridging policy and public services delivery? How can we build the public sector’s capability to use engineering and systems thinking? How to deploy effective collaboration between the public sector and engineering communities to tackle complex challenges and drive practical solutions?
We invite policymakers and public servants to explore these questions with our expert panel and discover examples from the Academy’s prestigious Policy Fellowships programme, spanning the fields of local urban planning, children criminal exploitation and UK energy system future planning.
