Conference overview
The Royal Academy of Engineering and the Irish Academy of Engineering will be jointly hosting the 2026 Euro-CASE conference on 19 November 2026 at the ICC, Belfast.
The theme of the conference will be “Engineering resilience: Securing Europe’s critical infrastructure in a changing world”. Discussions will focus on how engineering can shape Europe’s response to growing risks facing critical infrastructure considering key challenges, geopolitical tensions and system interdependencies.
The event will be followed by a reception for all attendees and an optional conference dinner. Alongside the conference there will be a public exhibition showcasing examples of regional engineering innovation.
The conference will be both in-person and online.

What is Euro-CASE?
The European Council of Academies of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering (Euro-CASE) brings together national academies of engineering and related disciplines from across Europe. Euro-CASE holds a conference annually, fostering international exchange on key future issues in applied science, technology and engineering.
What will happen at Euro-CASE 2026?
- Main conference - the main conference will run throughout 19 November.
- Public Exhibition - a public exhibition will be open throughout the duration of the conference, showcasing examples of regional engineering innovation, supported by the Enterprise Hub Northern Ireland.
- Reception and optional dinner.
