Dr Martin Thomas

Visiting Professor

Martin is originally a Materials Engineer with 30-years’ experience split between: academic research (including being the British Council Research Fellow at the Israel Institute of Technology); engineering, management and leadership roles in automotive and defence industries; senior positions in education, skills and training (including six years as the CEO of The Arkwright Scholarships Trust). Martin is a Fellow of the IET and Associate Fellow of the Women’s Engineering Society. He is a qualified teacher and is passionate about enhancing the inclusivity and industry relevance of engineering education.
