PUBLIC EVENT
As academics progress through their careers from postdoctoral positions into more senior roles, their workload evolves to include more teaching and administrative responsibilities. As a result, they are left with less time to dedicate to research.
The RAEng/Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowships address this by allowing academics to concentrate on full-time research and be relieved of teaching and administrative responsibilities for up to one year. The fellowships cover the salary costs of a replacement academic who will take over the awardee’s teaching and administration duties, funded by the kind support of The Leverhulme Trust.
In the webinar, the Chair of the RAEng/Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowships Panel, Professor Mark Sandler FREng, will provide information and guidance to prospective applicants and research officers interested in learning more about the scheme. We will also be joined by an RAEng/Leverhulme Trust Research Fellow from a previous round, who will talk about their experiences, career development and lessons learned.
Whether you’re drafting an application or are learning about the scheme for the first time, join us to learn how to get the most out of the opportunity.
