What does the Academy do to communicate the relevance and impact of engineering and the work of the Academy and its Fellows and awardees? What do public perceptions of engineering and trust in engineers mean for the Academy’s work? And how can you get involved with, and benefit from the Academy’s communications and engagement activities?
Join this Academy Insights session to learn about the Academy’s communications and campaigns, including This is Engineering and National Engineering Day, best practice in media and public engagement, and to share your perspectives to inform our ongoing programme.
The work of the Academy’s Communications and Engagement department includes the award-winning This is Engineering campaign to encourage the next generation to consider a career in engineering, annual awareness day National Engineering Day, Ingenia, a general interest engineering and technology magazine, and the Ingenious public engagement grant scheme. They also manage media relations, the Academy’s social and digital media channels, and lead the Academy’s 50th anniversary campaign, and the important role it plays in delivering our strategy.
