The steps below outline the stages involved in hosting an industry placement. Once you have found the right school or college, they will support you at every stage throughout the process.
- Engage with T Level schools/colleges
- Complete any checks with the school/college including health and safety, employer liability insurance and risk assessments.
- Plan the placement and develop a role description with the school/college
- Select students with the school/college
- Sign an industry placement agreement and agree start dates
- Assign an employee to supervise and support the learner
- Schedule regular check-ins with the learner and school/college
- Complete a midpoint review with the learner
- Complete a final review with the learner
- Review the industry placement to consider any lessons learnt and feedback as appropriate.
