Overview
Engineering students need to understand that the future is more than being just an engineer. There is a need to capture innovation and creativity within the engineering world and encourage young engineers to be entrepreneurial for themselves, or their organisations. In the following set of topic areas, you will develop concepts of strategic analysis and how this informs an effective business strategy. This links to a previous resource “Business strategies for enterprise”. You will use tools to support your creation of a strategy. On costings and pricing, you will use an online tool to work out direct/indirect and variable/fixed costs.
