Paul Fennell is a world-leading chemical engineer who has pioneered innovative advanced carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies and solutions to decarbonise cement and enhance the circular economy. He is recognised for the high impact of his research on industrial decarbonisation, UK government CCS policy and guidelines and the influence of his 140+ papers on the most recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports. He co-founded two startup companies developing methods to recycle/recover rare Earth metals and other useful materials from waste. He is an inspiring educator and research leader, contributing significantly to UK and EU legislation, as well as an impactful consulting engineer.
