Neil is Director of Manufacturing Engineering and Materials at Rolls-Royce, responsible for technology strategy, operational delivery and safety across the company’s global businesses. Reporting to the Group Director of Engineering, Neil leads over 3,000 engineers worldwide. His accountability spans technologies from high-integrity composites to high-performance metallics and ceramics, and global supply chains from raw materials through to product assembly. An experienced engineer with a proven track record, Neil pioneered additive layer manufacturing, delivering the largest aeroengine structure to fly and transforming combustor strategy. He sits on the Advisory Council for Enginuity and chaired the Strathclyde High Value Manufacturing Catapult board.
