Chief AI Readiness Officer, Google DeepMind
Lila Ibrahim is an engineer, venture capitalist, tech executive, and board member. Currently, she serves as Google DeepMind’s first-ever Chief AI Readiness Officer. Her remit includes helping prepare the world for more powerful and capable AI, as well as leading the Frontier AI Global Affairs team, Strategic Initiatives and Public Engagement Lab, Google DeepMind’s Impact Accelerator, and the Responsibility team. As Google DeepMind's founding COO, she built the operational foundation that helped scale the organisation to where it is today. This commitment led TIME magazine to recognise her among its inaugural list of AI’s 100 Most Influential People. Previously, she held senior positions at Coursera, Kleiner Perkins, and Intel. She co-founded and is Chair Emeritus at Team4Tech, an education non-profit that builds computing infrastructure and capacity to teach technology to under-resourced communities globally.
