Keith Hutchinson is established as an innovative marine design consultant. His work encompasses the design of a range of novel floating assets from 20 to 800,000 tonnes displacement, both new-construction and conversions, covering bespoke merchant ships including cryogenic gas carriers, deep-sea mining vessels, specialised offshore oil and cryogenic gas production vessels for the harshest environments, and naval ships. He has been an external lecturer at Newcastle University for 30 years and is active in many professional institutions. Underlining his reputation, he is the only professional to be elected to all three of Lloyd’s Register’s technical committees developing industry rule sets.
