Dr Nina Skorupska is a distinguished engineer whose career mirrors the UK’s energy transition from coal to gas to renewables. She has delivered engineering innovations in combustion science, turbine optimisation, and carbon capture, and led pioneering work in biomass and electric vehicle infrastructure. Her leadership in renewable energy policy and advocacy for diversity continues to shape the sector’s technical direction and societal impact. She received her CBE in 2016 for her services to renewable energy sector and promoting diversity in the Energy Industry.
