Professor Niki Trigoni FREng

Professor and Head of the Cyber Physical Systems, University of Oxford 

Professor Niki Trigoni is a Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Oxford and leads cyber physical systems research across the Department of Computer Science. She has pioneered award-winning positioning systems for indoor spaces where GPS does not work, which are uniquely scalable. They rely only on mobile devices and require neither infrastructure nor surveys. As founder and now CTO of Navenio, she led the development and commercialisation of the first location-aware workforce efficiency system deployed across several NHS trusts, offering demonstrable workflow optimisation benefits that helped mitigate increased hospital pressures during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.
