About Frontiers champions
The Frontiers Champions grants of up to £10,000 for one year are available to former participants in the Frontiers Symposia who want to bring together global and regional Frontiers networks that are tackling global goals.
Our Champions can be based anywhere in the world, and will convene their peers through regional or thematic events, providing focal points for an international community of researchers, innovators and practitioners.
Taking networks forward
The right networks, partnerships and interdisciplinary thinking are crucial to tackling global challenges that are complex and cross borders. The Academy's Frontiers symposia offer a first step in bringing people together to tackle these challenges.
The Frontiers Champions will take these networks forward, putting agency into the hands of the Frontiers community members themselves. Through the Frontiers Champions funding, the Academy will provide small grants and access to the Frontiers networks. This enables Champions to undertake community-building activities, such as networking events, webinars, meet-ups and workshops. Events will be open to other Frontiers event participants but may also expand the networks beyond.
