Awarded for his groundbreaking work on some of the world’s most iconic bridges. His portfolio includes the world’s second longest cable-stay Stonecutters Bridge in Hong Kong, the multi award-winning Hulme Arch Bridge in Manchester and the Oresund road and rail crossing between Sweden and Denmark.

Professor John Davidson FREng FRS
Professor Davidson has made major contributions to chemical engineering on a global scale, most notably in the area of research in multi-phase flow in fluidisation and bubble flow, publishing over 250 papers in this field. He is currently working on key projects such as clean coal combustion which looks to underpin the design of zero-emission coal-fired power plants.
