Head of Engineering for Air and Space Products and Chief Engineer for Historic Aircraft, BAE Systems

Professor Paul Needham is recognised internationally for his outstanding contributions to solving Engineering problems in aerospace design and manufacture across multiple aircraft platforms. He has made key contributions to the design and manufacture on the F35 Lightning II programme in the UK and USA, developing state-of-the-art airframe technologies, and advising the government and industry to identify key technological themes.

He is a Fellow and Trustee of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and is a passionate advocate of Engineering, inspiring and supporting early careers and apprentices.
