What is SDG 8?
As the global economy continues to recover from the 2008 recession, there is slower growth, widening inequalities, and not enough jobs to keep up with a growing labour face.
This goal aims to achieve full and productive employment, and decent work, for all women and men by 2030. This can be achieved through encouraging entrepreneurship and job creation, as well as implementing measures to eradicate forced labour, slavery and human trafficking.
The Royal Academy of Engineering supports the Sustainable Development Goals.
