What is SDG 1?
More than 700 million people still live in extreme poverty today, struggling to fulfil the most basic needs like health, education, and access to water and sanitation.
This goal involves targeting the most vulnerable, increasing basic resources and services, and supporting communities affected by conflict and climate-related disasters, to end poverty in all forms by 2030.
The Royal Academy of Engineering supports the Sustainable Development Goals.
