Project overview
The aim of this project is to 3d-print the MakerHand, a hand prosthesis that won the world-wide Cybathlon 2020 competition. The manufacturing process will involve 3d-printing, moulding and testing of the hand on a series of activities of daily living tasks. The MakerHand will then be modified by integrating tactile sensing capabilities into its fingers to test the influence of haptic feedback on prosthesis performance. This internship will advance prosthetic technologies and could lead to improvements to the quality of life of upper-limb prosthesis users.
