To reach net-zero carbon, the built environment industry needs to evolve ways to extend the life of existing building and infrastructure stock. My research will develop algorithms that use sensor performance data, statistical analysis, numerical modelling, and machine learning to quantify uncertainties to unlock reuse and resilience in built assets.
