Visiting Professor
Dr. Junaid Syed holds a PhD and Post doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the UK and earned Silver and Gold Medals during BSc and BEng studies, respectively, with a nationwide PhD scholarship. Currently, he serves as the Senior VP at Cuvalux UK, leading global operations and engineering, implementing high-capacity fixed-wireless broadband technologies. Previously, he created and managed Rosenberger's global Microwave business and led CommScope's Microwave antenna business in Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Australia. He also led RF design teams in the UK, USA, and China. Dr. Syed possesses 27 international patents in microwave and millimetre-wave antenna designs, including 14 US patents extensively deployed worldwide. He also worked as Adjunct Assoc. Professor of MSU East Lansing USA in Asia. For over a decade, he actively contributed to ETSI and FCC standard development for the global wireless industry. As a Visiting Professor, Dr. Syed looks to enhance the student experience on meeting the real-world requirements of wireless communications.
