What happens in GEEP?
GEEP is designed to boost undergraduates and recent graduates’ ability to secure engineering jobs and will include engaging insight sessions, 1:1 support, networking events, mentoring, upskilling and the chance to connect directly with 20+ businesses from all types of engineering. The programme is structured to provide participants with an immersive learning experience and practical exposure to cutting-edge engineering topics. Here's a glimpse of what participants can expect to gain from this transformative journey:
Career
support
Join skills and competency insight sessions that develop your employability skills. You'll also receive 1:1 career support to identify a clear vision for your career path.
On-demand
learning
Gain access to a wealth of on-demand learning materials. This includes industry insight sessions and engineering-specific resources to help you continue learning at your own pace.
121
mentoring

Networking
opportunities
Connect directly with over 20 engineering employers. This will give you access to apply to internships, placements, shadowing opportunities and full-time positions.
Fill in a quick application on our website, with just a few questions on your basic details. No long forms or essay questions, just an easy way to get started.
Record yourself answering questions to show us your passion. Don't worry - You'll have time to practice. To make interviews accessible, where needed we offer calls via phone or teams.
After you've passed your interview, the top candidates will then receive offers to join GEEP. The programme starts in November so get ready to unlock a world of engineering possibilities.
Who can join GEEP?
To join a participant need to be:
- A UK national or have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
- An engineering student (in their second year or above) or a recent engineering graduate from university
GEEP offers flexible options including virtual, in-person and hybrid participation so no matter where in the UK candidate is based, if a candidate is doing a degree in engineering then they're exactly who this programme is designed for.
We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, but it's important to note that GEEP places an emphasis on creating opportunities for those from under-represented backgrounds. We are particularly eager to welcome applications from candidates who reflect this diversity and inclusivity focus.
GEEP is a national programme designed to support engineering students from underrepresented backgrounds across the UK. In 2025-2026 we encouraged applications from regions which have experienced small student numbers in the past.
