You are eligible to apply if you are in any year of your degree or degree apprenticeship, except the final year before graduating. For example, Year 1 and 2, but not 3 of a three-year Bachelors degree, or Year 1, 2, 3 or 4 of a 5-year Masters degree.
You must also:
- Must be completing an undergraduate degree at a UK Higher Education Institution - this includes degree apprenticeships
- Must be studying engineering or a related discipline
- Will usually be resident in the UK and eligible to pay UK home fees (you may be asked to provide evidence)
Sir Ralph Robins Scholarship criteria
For those who wish to be considered for a Sir Ralph Robins Scholarship, you must also meet the following criteria:
You must have attended a non-fee paying secondary school (unless you attended a fee-paying school with the support of a scholarship), as well as meeting one of the following three criteria:

Have been eligible for free school meals OR
-
Be in the first generation from your immediate family to attend university OR
-
Have at some stage been in local authority care
There will also be an opportunity in the application form to let us know if there is anything else you would like us to take into consideration when considering your eligibility.
If any section of your application is incomplete or missing, your application will not be accepted.
