Under the engineers' guidance, each group completed four two-hour exercises in their buildings over a year. They explored how heating systems worked, addressed heat loss, considered thermal comfort, and discussed possible future changes to their buildings in the drive to Net Zero, including the "people" side of enabling change. The groups then planned and held a community consultation, showcasing their learning. This project changed the futures of some important buildings and created a culture in which communities remembered to seek out and value the engineers who lived among them.
