Angel Alejandro Gonzalez Roman (Mexico) - Ultrawalk
We're developing cutting-edge technology for the blind, empowering individuals with visual impairments to navigate the world independently and fostering inclusivity. Our innovation is built on advanced technologies that make it accessible and user-friendly. We use specialized ultrasonic sensor and we pay special attention to a right field of view to protect head, chest and shoulders. These sensors can detect obstacles as small and thin as a wire, allowing the user to be confident when navigating anywhere. The case of the device is designed for the best experience for our user, having specific patterns and textures to make it easier finding buttons and having a smooth experience when wearing the device, including braille in the case.
The feedback is given through different vibration patterns to alert about obstacles and even if the battery is low, this vibration even alerts about the distance of the object, changing if the user selects the indoors or outdoors mode, that changes the range of detection to give a better experience when going to unknown places. Our innovation uses these components to help individuals with visual impairments better understand their surroundings, making navigation and access to information easier. We've made these technologies as simple to use and intuitive as possible, ensuring that all the users can benefit from our solution, even from young ages.
