Feyzullah Tuna (Turkey) - FEYZCO Tech
SymbioLink is a dual-purpose innovation integrating clean energy access with inclusive digital connection. At its core, it combines a compact, high-efficiency smart vertical-axis wind turbine (SVAWT) with a mutual support network designed for people with disabilities.
The turbine generates reliable off-grid power in turbulent and low-wind urban environments, ensuring that assistive technologies remain operational during blackouts. Beyond powering devices, this energy also sustains a digital link between two individuals whose abilities complement each other: a visually impaired person equipped with a wearable camera shares a live video feed with a partner who has limited mobility. Through a simple voice interface, the partner provides real-time verbal guidance – navigating streets, reading medicine labels, or describing surroundings. This forms a functional symbiosis: the visually impaired person gains independence, while their partner with limited mobility gains purpose, agency, and social connection. Together, they form a shared wholeness greater than the sum of their parts.
The project is developed with co-design principles, engaging disabled users to ensure accessibility, privacy, and emotional safety. Crucially, the turbine is not the end goal – it is the enabler of uninterrupted connection and inclusion, ensuring that vital support networks remain active even during emergencies.
