The Major Project Award for Sustainability recognises the contribution of a team of up to five engineers, based in the UK, who have delivered a sustainable solution to a societal problem. The project can come from any branch of engineering.
For this award, a major project is defined as one which has had a demonstrable impact on society and sustainability. This could be a project of any size, duration or value.
The nomination should demonstrate how it has contributed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and delivered significant positive and sustainable impact.
The recipient(s) of the Major Project Award for Sustainability will be selected by the Royal Academy of Engineering's Awards Committee. The Award will consist of a medal and will be awarded annually. The prize will not be awarded if in any year the Academy so decides.
Nominations can be submitted by anyone who would like to highlight contributions to engineering excellence.
