HRH The Duke of Edinburgh made an immeasurable contribution to the Academy and to the engineering profession.
To honour the vision and legacy of our Founding Senior Fellow, the Prince Philip Fund has been created to meet critical needs and ensure the long-term future of the Academy. His Royal Highness granted permission for us to establish this fund in his memory in 2017.
As we build towards a new post-pandemic era, we must invest in the Academy to ensure we are fit for purpose today and long into the future. The Prince Philip Fund will exist in perpetuity to support the Academy’s needs.
It is almost 50 years since His Royal Highness founded the Fellowship of Engineering. The Prince Philip Fund will endure well beyond the passing of our Senior Fellow, ensuring that his legacy will be felt in the next 50 years and beyond.
