Yo-Waste is a mobile app solution connecting households and businesses in urban communities with local waste haulers, facilitating convenient, recurring & on-demand waste collection and recycling pickups. Yo-Waste is also building physical infrastructure, such as material recovery facilities (MRFs), where collected waste can be sorted, processed, and converted into valuable feedstock for manufacturers. This dual approach, combining technology with recycling infrastructure, is helping to addresses the growing problem of waste pollution and resource depletion in urban areas.

By streamlining the process through their app, they are helping to reduce inefficiencies in waste collection, helping municipalities to tackle the overflowing landfills and illegal dumping which are harmful to biodiversity. Similarly, the MRFs contribute to a circular economy by turning waste into new materials, reducing the need for virgin resources.
