Dr Thi-Le-Hang Dang
Dr Thi-Le-Hang Dang is an entrepreneur with a background in materials. She has developed an innovative material combining bioglass and nanozyme, forming Ezyme Glass - a biocatalyst which can replace the function of natural peroxidase enzymes. Nanozymes can provide catalytic activity that supports cellular functions, while bioglass promotes cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation, with this combination having the potential to create advanced wound healing products, bone regeneration solutions, and improved medical implants. Ezyme Glass can work in challenging conditions such as high temperatures, strong pressure, and organic solvent, in addition to being cheaper, more stable, and reusable over many production cycles. Additionally, these materials use biocompatible, non-toxic components that minimise their environmental impact.
