Dr André Luiz Rocha D´Oliveira
Dr André Luiz Rocha D´Oliveira, CEO of Eigendauer, has broad and extensive experience in the field of manufacturing for mechanical resistance. After participating in several projects researching manufacturing processes for residual stress induction, a new manufacturing chain was developed, and applied to gears. The effect of shot peening and grinding, and their integration in a chain, was developed into a finite element model for the prediction of residual stress field, relating the manufacturing parameters to their effects on residual stress. The results supported the origin of his innovation, using models to optimize this setup to obtain the ideal durability.
MIP (Manufacturing Interaction Platform) consists of a software that optimises the durability of mechanical components by means of the parametrization of the manufacturing processes. Different mechanical components benefit from this, including gears, bearings, landing gears, and more, as they are made stronger and more durable through a more eco-friendly, cost-effective process. Through connecting software with hardware through digital twin and artificial intelligence, the results of MIP can be directly implemented during the manufacturing process with highly accurate results.
