Dr Alantino Raven Daniel
Dr Alantino Raven Daniel is a recent bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery graduate from Taylor's University, who is passionate about integrating technology with healthcare and education. As a co-founder of EduDots, his focus is on utilising 3D printing technology to revolutionize the production of Braille-based books, making them more accessible and efficient to produce. Additionally, he has also co-founded Bismuth-PETG, a project dedicated to developing innovative radiation shields. Currently, he is exploring advancements in the field of tech development, and venturing into the F&B industry, driven by his desire to blend his medical background with his interest in entrepreneurship.
His innovation, BraillePad, is a personalised, customisable 3D printed tablet-like device for the visually impaired that provides increased accessibility for the user, and improved efficiency for the manufacturer. For the visually impaired, educational development can often be hindered early in life, as braille books are often expensive to buy, as well as heavy and outdated. BraillePad not only solves these issues associated with traditional Braille books, but also pioneers self-learning for the visually impaired, making education more inclusive and effective.
