Professor Simon Weeks is an accomplished engineer whose career encompasses many engineering disciplines. He is on the Innovate UK council, a non-executive director of the Offshore Wind Growth Partnership and provides aerospace consultancy. Formerly Chief Technology Officer at the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI), Simon was instrumental in creating the ATI and securing its initial £1 billion government funding and further tranches. At Rolls-Royce, he led the EJ200 engine development programme for the Typhoon through to entry into service, controls engineering, strategic research and the global aerospace R&T programme.
