Professor Markus Kraft FREng
Professor of Chemical Engineering, University of Cambridge; Director, Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education (CARES)
Professor Markus Kraft is a leading global expert in the computational modelling of combustion phenomena and particle formation. His interdisciplinary research has made significant contributions to computational methods, computer science, and chemical physics.
As the Founding Director of the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore, he established it as a prominent international research hub. Through this centre, he co-edited the book Intelligent Decarbonisation. Professor Kraft also co-founded the spinouts Computational Modelling Cambridge Ltd and CMPG Computational Modelling Pirmasens GmbH to translate his research into practical impact, recently pioneering an innovative approach to enhancing connected digital twins, which has been successfully applied to buildings, cities and large infrastructure networks.
