Professor Liang-Shih Fan’s contributions in clean fossil energy conversion have distinguished him as an inventor and entrepreneur. His innovations have revolutionised emission control and energy production, heralding a new era of sustainable technologies. Professor Fan invented nine clean energy conversion processes for CO2, SO2, H2S, and NOx emission control and electricity, syngas, hydrogen, chemicals, or liquid fuels production. He has also invented and commercialised, through his startup company – Tech4Iamging – the electrical capacitance volume tomography for three-dimensional multiphase flow and reactor imaging.
