Professor Hussam Jouhara is Professor of Thermal Engineering at Brunel University London and Head of the Heat Pipe and Thermal Management Group.

He has over 200 published leading journal articles and books, 17 patents, and a proven track record of attracting industrial, government and European funding. His novel heat pipe designs have made primary energy savings over 40% across the production industries of steel, aluminium, food, and ceramics. His flat heat-pipe exchanger design (sponsored by Shell, Innovate UK and the EU) has proved to increase the performance of food display cabinets, solar collectors and longevity of lithium-ion batteries – essential for future electric vehicle improvement.
