Professor Claire Davis FREng

Head of Advanced Steel Research Centre, WMG, University of Warwick

Professor Claire Davis is the Head of the Advanced Steel Research Centre at WMG, University of Warwick. She is internationally recognised for her work on the development of microstructure during processing and the relationships between structure and properties in steels. Claire has developed real-time microstructural sensors, now installed in production steel mills, and new steel grades using novel rapid processing capability for use in aerospace. She contributes to national engineering policy, has been recognised for the excellence of her work in engineering education, and is committed to public engagement in science.
