Professor Anna Peacock FREng

Professor of Photonics, University of Southampton; Deputy Director, Optoelectronics Research Centre

Professor Anna Peacock is an internationally recognised expert in nonlinear photonics, which she has widely applied in diverse engineering platforms.

Her research into novel fibre amplifiers and multi-material optical fibre technologies has significantly impacted wide-ranging disciplines in both academia and industry. Throughout her career Anna has been a passionate educator and champion for equality, diversity and inclusion in engineering – pioneering, leading and driving change within scholarly societies and her university.

She has also acted globally as a mentor for engineers of all career stages, continuing to advance not only engineering knowledge but the capabilities of many others.
