Dr Matthew Mellor has been responsible for the technical development of several innovative technologies that have delivered considerable benefits to industry and commercial success to businesses that he has started up. Much of Matt’s impact has been in the nuclear industry where he founded Createc, an innovation company that now employs more than 50 people and has an annual turnover of over £8 million.

Outside of nuclear, he has developed new technologies and established businesses that now employ >100 people and deliver significant export revenues. His work has been recognised with two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise and one King’s Award for Enterprise.
