Professor Sebastian Geiger FREng FRSE

Professor for Sustainable Geoenergy, Delft University of Technology 

Recruited through Delft University of Technology's Excellence Fund in 2022, Professor Sebastian Geiger holds the Energi Simulation Chair in Sustainable Geoenergy and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. He has published over 200 technical papers. Prior to this appointment he was one of the youngest engineering professors in the UK and has pioneered innovative technologies to improve the integration of geoscience and reservoir engineering with applications to sustainable energy production from geological reservoirs located deep underground. These technologies are used by major energy companies to address significant industrial challenges, estimated to be worth billions of pounds.
