Professor Kin Leung is internationally renowned in the field of communications networks. He has led fundamental research and development of many award-winning and high-impact communications network technologies for civilian and defence applications in practical environments. These have led to significant design improvements and new capabilities of nationwide telecommunication systems, wireless networks and defence communications networks, both in the US and the UK.  As a distinguished leader in the field and in partnership with the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), he has been a major driving force behind defining, advancing, and contributing to defence research in communications technologies in UK academia.
