Kuldeep Gharatya is a successful engineering leader with over 20 years’ systems, delivery and innovation experience in the transport sector. He is currently Head of Engineering at TfL, leading a multi-billion portfolio of strategically important projects. A passionate systems thinker constantly looking to push the boundaries of engineering applications, Kuldeep was at the vanguard of establishing systems engineering, and subsequently, systems thinking in the rail sector. At TfL, he inspired these newly established teams to generate several millions of pounds in value. He went on to build the first innovation team in the London Underground, radically changing the perception and capability of engineering and the use of digital tools.
