Kevin Daffey FREng

Director of Governmental Application Engineering and Automation, Rolls-Royce Solutions 

Kevin Daffey is currently Director of Governmental Applications Engineering and Automation at Rolls-Royce Solutions based in Germany. He is a leader in the field of Marine Engineering who has made major contributions in electric propulsion, dynamic positioning, artificial intelligence and electrical safety.  Kevin led the development of remote and autonomous ships, including two world first demonstration projects (Project SVAN and Project SISU) and was invited by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Secretary General to present on autonomous ships at the IMO 100th MSC special conference. He is a Chair of the Board of Trustees and former President of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST).
