Chair, ‘Together in Safety' Global Shipping Industry Foundation 

Dr Grahaeme Henderson OBE has a distinguished 40-year career in Shell International including as Engineering Manager in Syria, Chief Engineer in Nigeria, CIO of Upstream IT and Digital Business in The Netherlands, Country Chair and Managing Director in Brunei, and Senior Vice President Shipping & Maritime in the UK. In this latter role, he was responsible for the 2000 floating worldwide assets in Shell, delivering substantial reductions in carbon emissions in ships and greatly improving the safety performance. He initiated and is Chair of the global shipping industry Together in Safety Foundation. He holds a First Class Engineering BSc, PhD, Honorary DSc and is a Chartered Engineer. He was appointed the OBE in 2020 for Services to International Shipping.
