Professor Holger Babinsky FREng
Professor of Aerodynamics, University of Cambridge
Professor Holger Babinsky is a remarkable engineer because of the scope, significance, and impact of his contributions to applications ranging from jet engines to road trailers. As an experimental aerodynamicist, he is known for his contributions to the understanding of shock-wave/boundary-layer interactions, the fundamental problem of high-speed flow, and also for his work in low-speed aerodynamics where his experiments helped to clarify the origins of unsteady forces and improve the performance of road vehicles. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Royal Aeronautical Society’s (RAeS) Aeronautical Journal and Fellow of RAeS as well as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
