Professor Deborah Greaves OBE FREng

Head of School of Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, and Professor of Ocean Engineering, University of Plymouth

Deborah Greaves is a world authority in marine renewable energy, an outstanding engineering leader and strategist in the higher education sector, a role model for aspiring engineers, and a major contributor to industry and society through her outreach activities.

She heads the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, and directs the COAST Laboratory at the University of Plymouth. She leads the Supergen ORE Hub, which provides industry focused research on offshore renewable energy. Her major engineering achievements include development of novel types of wave energy converter, and analysis methods for wave energy farms, tidal turbines, and extreme fluid-structure interactions.
