Professor Bridget Eickhoff FREng
Principal Infrastructure Engineer, Rail Safety & Standards Board (RSSB)
Bridget Eickhoff is a recognised international expert in railway vehicle-track interaction and wheel-rail interface engineering. Bridget has made significant contributions to multi-body simulations of vehicle dynamics in vehicle design and approvals and improving railway performance by understanding of the wheel-rail interface, track forces and deterioration.
Following 30 years in British Rail Research and its successors, she is Principal Infrastructure Engineer with RSSB. She was lead engineer in developing the GB platform train interface strategy and its implementation. She provides input into GB and international standards, improving global safety and adoption of best practice and supports cross-industry groups and research projects.
