Peter Lomas has spent his career helping companies, research organisations and startups translate their ideas into viable electronic systems. As co-creator of the MacRobert Award-winning Raspberry Pi computer, he championed the development of interfaces to allow easy integration of computation and electronics providing access to ‘digital making’ to a broad spectrum of the community.

The resultant ecosystem has created technology that supports flashing LEDs through to complex industrial control. Over his tenure as a trustee of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, he has actively participated in engineering outreach. Though these programmes, he has been able to expose the value of engineering to wider society.
